About our pastor/teacher elder, Jeff Alexander
Jeff is a native of Colorado. He holds a B.A. degree from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, Minnesota (1966) and a master’s degree from the Central Baptist Theological Seminary of Minneapolis, Minnesota (1972). Jeff has served as pastor and evangelist for over fifty years. He is married and has raise five natural children and two foster children (all grown). Jeff was called to serve the Calvary Baptist Church as pastor/teacher in June of 1990.
A message from Pastor Alexander
Years ago, when God called me to preach, I realized that I did not have the personality nor the talent to wow people with clever approaches and comic interludes. I did know that God promised to bless His Word (Isaiah 55:11; Romans 10:17) and that I had been commanded to “preach the Word” (2 Timothy 4:2). I determined, with God’s grace, that I would stick to telling people what God’s Word said. I have made it my life goal to “rightly divide the Word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15). Though it is not always popular to do so (2 Timothy 4:3, 4), I have never regretted that commitment. If you are looking for plain, clear, uncompromising teaching of God’s Word, we invite you to come and visit us.
About Elder Ron Trowbridge
Ron is also a native of Colorado. He holds a B.A. degree from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado. He is married and has three children (all grown). Ron was in law enforcement for many years. He and his wife have been members of Calvary Baptist Church since moving to Lamar in the late 1980’s. Ron became an elder in 2017.
